SE3 - Episode 7: Widening the Lens of Nutrition with Vincci Tsui

In this episode I speak with Registered Dietitian Vincci Tsui about a wide range of themes as it relates to food, nutrition and health.

Vincci Tsui (she/her) is a registered dietitian and certified intuitive eating counselor based in Mohkíntsis/Guts’its’i/Wîchîspa, or what is now known as Calgary, Alberta, Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from McGill University, where she completed the integrated dietetic internship program. Vincci is the founder of Weight-Inclusive Dietitians in Canada (WIDIC) and author of The Mindful Eating Workbook: Simple Practices for Nurturing a Positive Relationship with Food.

This conversation has a wide span where we talk about:

-          Vincci’s professional journey from working in a bariatric surgery clinic to embracing weight inclusive care.

-          What weight inclusive care is

-          Some of the challenges with Intuitive Eating and Mindful Eating

-          The importance of food in connecting with one’s own culture of origin

And more… I hope you will enjoy this conversation as much as we did recording it.
